The University of Northwestern Women’s Chorale, conducted by Stephanie Trump, will be touring to cities in Central Minnesota on April 10-12, 2015. Area students traveling with the Chorale include:
• Amy Head, of Cambridge, is a Junior majoring in psychology. Head is the daughter of Larry and Del Rae Head and a 2013 graduate of Cambridge-Isanti High School.
• Elizabeth Poppen, of Cambridge, is a Sophomore majoring in biology. Poppen is the daughter of Becky and Jim Poppen and a 2014 graduate of Cambridge-Isanti High School.
The following Anoka-Ramsey Community College students are among those who have been named to the Dean’s List for Fall Semester 2014 by earning at least a 3.5 grade point average while carrying 12 or more credits: Katherine Connor of North Branch, Julia Paris of Isanti, Rachel Swenson of North Branch, Allison Tessness of Harris, Kassidy Westrom of Isanti.
Patrick Hagen, Wyoming, a wildlife management student and fall 2014 graduate of the University of Minnesota Crookston was recently honored by the Minnesota Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society at their annual meeting hosted by the Northwest Research and Outreach Center in Crookston. The Student Conservationist Award, consisting of a plaque and cash award, recognizes a student at a Minnesota college or university who is majoring in the conservation field.
Morgan Van Lingen of North Branch, Minn., was named to the Emmanuel College Dean’s List for the Fall 2014 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean’s List, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.
She is also one of 11 Emmanuel College students inducted into Sigma Beta Delta, the international honor society in business, management and administration on Thursday, March 26.
Kyle Granger, son of Jeremy and Becky Edson of North Branch, will be participating in the University of Northwestern Varsity Men’s Chorus tour to the Northern Minnesota Iron Range, April 19-20, with a Homecoming Concert on April 27. Granger is a 2014 graduate of North Branch High School. He is currently a Freshman majoring in Electronic Media Communication & Music.
Isanti School Resource Officer Adam Gau was elected the Vice President (president elect) at the Minnesota Juvenile Officers Association annual meeting on Jan. 29. Gau will be the VP of the organization during 2015 and become president for 2016.
