The Chisago Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) collects rainfall data from each of the 13 townships in Chisago County. The rainfall reports come from volunteers across the county, many of whom have been sending in reports for well over 15 years. This information is sent to the University of MN Climatology Department who record and track historical weather data back as far as the 1800s.
June gave an average of 6.75 inches of rainfall for our county. While South Sunrise Township received just over four inches for the month of June, Fish Lake Township reported over 11 inches and Rushseba just over nine inches.
