Cambridge Ambassadors announce 2019 candidates

Participants in the 2019 Cambridge Ambassador and Little Miss programs hold a pajama party as part of the candidate experience leading up to the crowning of the 2019 Cambridge Ambassadors on Friday, June 14.

The Cambridge Ambassador Program is delighted to announce the names of the 18 young women participating in this year’s Candidate Experience. Three of these bright and enthusiastic candidates will be selected to represent the community at the annual Crowning Celebration when Ambassadors Sadie Shelton, Sydney Crocker and Saylor Elwood will crown their successors. 

This year’s production is “Turning Back Time,” a salute to the 20th anniversary of the origination of the Ambassador concept of equality, and will be held on Friday, June 14, at 7 p.m. in the Hardy Performing Arts Center, Cambridge. 

Mistresses of Ceremonies will be the 1992 Miss Cambridge, Karrn Gustafson Bales, and 2013 Ambassador Morgan Scheiller. Both women also served as Princesses for the Minneapolis Aquatennial.

Advanced sale reserved seats are $10 and can be ordered through any candidate or purchased that night. General admission tickets for $8 will be sold at the door only.

The public is invited to come and “Meet the Candidates” at the annual Dessert Social on Tuesday, June 4, at 7 p.m., hosted by New Hope Community Church, 33030 Vickers Street NE, Cambridge, and sponsored by Minnco Credit Union. There is no cost to attend.
