A free “Stepping On” program will be offered in North Branch to aid seniors with balance issues.

The seven-week course will be held Wednesdays from Sept. 18 through Oct. 30 at Chisago County Senior Center, 38790 6th Avenue, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

The course will cover a range of issues including falls and risk, strength and balance exercises, home hazards, safe footwear, vision and falls, safety in public places, community mobility, coping after a fall and understanding how to initiate a medication review.

The course is free of charge and offered in partnership with Fairview Health Services, Chisago County SHIP, Chisago Age Well Coalition and North Branch Area Community Education.
