Even though it is considered inside the city limits of Cambridge, the Isanti County Fair, which runs from Wednesday, July 24 through Sunday, July 28, isn't easy for everyone to get to. But there is now a free option for those who don't have way to get to the popular event for one of the days.

The Chisago-Isanti County Heartland Express public transit is providing free transportation to fairgoers on Saturday, July 27. Heartland will pick riders up at SAC’s near the Police Department parking lot and drive them there. Buses will pick people up every hour on the hour—from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., except for noon. Then, for the return trip, riders can catch the bus back to SAC’s at a designated spot every hour between 30-45 minutes past the hour until 11:45 a.m. For anyone who wants to stay longer, they can call the Heartland dispatch at (651) 213-5790 between 1:30p.m.-4 pm for a scheduled picked up.

The Chisago-Isanti County Heartland Express is a public transportation service, which operates within the county borders. They are committed to providing, safe, cost-effective transit service to anyone in either county who requests it. All vehicles are handicap accessible. They provide curb to curb service and are available to assist passengers on and off the bus. They are not responsible for: hauling in groceries; finding riders who are not waiting in their appropriate time period; and dropping off at the door step. There is no additional charge for a caretaker riding with a paid passenger, and children under the age of 12 ride free with a paying adult.

This service for the fair on Saturday, July 27, is free to the public for all ages. There is no need to worry about the hassle of parking at the fair. If you have any further questions, please call Heartland Express at (651) 213-5790.
