A pop-up boutique will showcase the creative talents of parents, teachers and supporters of Isanti Primary School and raise money for student events at the “Creative Community Boutique,” sponsored by Isanti Primary PTO, to be held Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Isanti Primary School, 301 Heritage Blvd. NW, Isanti. Shoppers should enter Door #1.

The work of about 20 artisans and crafters will be featured in the school cafeteria, which will transform for one day into a truly unique shopping experience.

Handcrafted items for sale will span many different artistic talents including gourmet baking, paper crafting, crochet, woodworking, sewing, candle-making, painting, drawing, pottery, jewelry-making and upcycling.

“I am continually amazed at the creative gifts that exist in our community,” said Isanti Primary PTO President Erin Engness. “We are excited to provide a way for the artisans in our IPS family to share their talents with the community and support our students at the same time.”

Items are available at a range of prices, from inexpensive but unique stocking stuffers to fine art pieces that make thoughtful holiday gifts. Children’s gifts, local honey, holiday and home décor will also be featured.

A portion of every sale will be donated to the PTO to fund student events like Reading Night, Family Fun Night and educational field trips.

The Nov. 2 date was chosen to line up with the annual Holiday Hunters boutique tour, when eager shoppers are already exploring some of the many pop-up boutiques in Isanti County for the start of the holiday shopping season. Although not officially part of the Holiday Hunters tour, the Creative Community Boutique has the support of the participating shops.

“The Creative Community Boutique was inspired by the amazing shops we’ve seen on the Holiday Hunters and Unique Boutique & Antique tours,” said event coordinator Michelle Kopp. “And the boutique owners have been incredibly generous with their advice and encouragement for our event.”

More information about the Creative Community Boutique is available on the Isanti Primary PTO Facebook page or by emailing ipsptomn@gmail.com.
