Buy gifts from wishes on the Christmas Caring Tree 

The Christmas Caring Tree will be set up in the Rush City Unity Bank entry from Monday, Nov. 18, until Wednesday, Dec. 4. The public is invited to come pull a tag to fulfill the wishes of children in the Rush City school district. 

Select a Christmas wish tag, purchase gift(s) for the child and bring them unwrapped to the Unity Bank, 1180 W. 4th Street, by Friday, Dec. 6. The lobby is open Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and Fridays from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Rush City winter coat exchange begins

The annual Rush City winter coat exchange will begin Monday, Nov. 4, at City Hall, 325 S. Eliot Avenue, Rush City. 

Donations of new or gently used, clean coats, mittens, hats or scarves are needed for children and adults and can be left at City Hall.

Anyone in need of any of these items is encouraged to stop at City Hall, check out the donations and take what they need. 

This event is sponsored by Rush City Cares and will be available through the end of December.
