East Central Regional Library - Rush City will offer preschool storytimes and a Lego event in the coming weeks. The library is located at 240 W. 4th St. in downtown Rush City and can be reached at 320-358-3948.

Preschool Storytimes

The library welcomes young children to their Preschool and Lapsit Storytime programs beginning this fall. Watch as youngsters build early literacy skills and develop a love of learning – all in a fun and encouraging environment.

Preschool children will enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays, crafts and more at Fall Preschool Storytime, starting at 10:30 a.m. the second Tuesday and Wednesday of the month (Sept 10 and 11; Oct. 8 and 9; Nov. 12 and 13; and Dec. 10 and 11. 

Recommended for ages 3-5; siblings welcome. The same theme will be presented on both days in a given week. No registration necessary.

Geared toward newborns up to age 30 months, Lapsit Storytime will be held on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month with only one session in December (Sept. 10 and 24; Oct. 8 and 22; Nov. 12 and 26; and Dec. 10). Again, siblings are welcome, and no registration is necessary.

Legos and Flakes at Rush City Library

Are you a Lego fan who wants an additional challenge? Put your creativity to the test as you combine Legos with Brain Flakes to construct awesome and unique designs at East Central Regional Library-Rush City from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturdays, Sept. 14, Oct. 12 and Nov. 9.

This event is recommended for ages 6-12, and no registration is necessary.
