Carol J. Lex

Carol J. Lex, age 88, of Cambridge, died Sept. 24, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.  

Carol Jean Lex was born June 10, 1931, to Harry and Hortense Hanson. She attended school in Minneapolis all but one year when she went to country school. Carol married Robert Lex on Dec. 6, 1958.  They lived in Columbia Heights for one year and then made their home in Brooklyn Center until 1971 when they moved to a farm in the Cambridge area. They later moved to a home on the Rum River in Isanti Township and then moved to GracePointe Crossing last year.  

Carol enjoyed working as a secretary for most of her working life and then the last 13 years as a realtor. Carol was involved in many aspects of volunteering over the years. She enjoyed spending time with her children and then with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She particularly enjoyed traveling with her husband, Bob, after retiring, visiting many countries around the world and going on several mission trips.  

She is survived by her loving husband, Bob; three children: Michael (Katie) Lex, Robert Lex and Pauline Lex (Marshal Quick); 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and by other relatives and friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by all of her siblings. 

A Celebration Service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at North Isanti Baptist Church in Cambridge.
