Jack J. Leipzig, age 95, of Isanti, passed away Dec. 1, 2019.
He was born July 31, 1924, in his grandparents’ farmhouse in Clear Lake, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Ruth (Rogers) Leipzig; three brothers: Franklin, Francis (Buzz), James; sister Anna Mae Goree; daughter-in-law Marcia Leipzig.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Viola; three sons: John (Rachel), Lance (Deb), Dennis (Cathy); four daughters: Sandra (James) Beckman, Sybia (Gary) Alexander, Annette (Brent) Wilke, Teresa (Jack) Cole; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
He married Viola Witthuhn on Oct. 18, 1947, at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton, Wisconsin.
He graduated from Barnum High School, Barnum, Minn., and attended Appleton School of Business in Appleton, Wis.
Jack served his country in WWII in the Army Air Corps and flew in B-24s in the Pacific Theater.
He worked 25 years for Sinclair and Atlantic Richfield in the oil business. He and his family were corporate nomads, living in Appleton, Wis., Milwaukee, Wis., Mound, Minn., Indianapolis, Indiana, and Alta Loma, California.
Services will be held at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, East Bethel, Minn., on Friday, Dec. 6. Visitation at 11 a.m. and funeral service at 12 p.m.
