Robin Watson, age 58, of Stanchfield, died Feb. 25, 2020, peacefully at home with her husband and children at her side after a four-year battle with cancer.
Robin Lea Watson was born Oct. 27, 1961, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Duane “Red” and Delilah “Demay” Anderson. Her childhood was spent in Spring Lake Park, and their family moved to Isanti when Robin was in the 10th grade. Robin’s fondest childhood memories included “going up north” to her aunt and uncle’s farm in Bock, Minn. While attending Cambridge High School she enjoyed playing softball and volleyball. She graduated in 1980. On Oct. 4, 1980, she married the love of her life, Jim Watson, and they made their home in Stanchfield for 39 years. Robin worked at Reichel Brothers Meats and Grocery in Isanti for 30 years and then at the Milaca Elim Home. Robin LOVED to go camping with her family and friends, feeding her birds, flower gardening, watching tractor pulls with her husband and Denny, dirt track racing, and trips to California for the Mexican food. She loved to go craft sale-ing with her girlfriends during hunting season, four-wheeling with friends, and most of all she loved spending time and baking with her grandchildren, who she absolutely adored. She was a loving, caring and fun person who will be dearly missed.
Robin will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 39 years, Jim; three children: Josh Watson (Nichole), Holly (Ron) German, and Jeff Watson (Sami); brother Patrick (Imogene) Anderson; two grandchildren: Waylon (8) and Sunny (6); and by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Red and Demay, and by her brother Mike.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, APRIL 4, at Strike Life Tributes in Cambridge. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Cambridge Union Cemetery followed by a celebration of her life at her daughter’s home. Online condolences can be made at StrikeLifeTributes.com.
