Shirley A. Mulligan, age 82, of Cambridge, passed away Oct. 5, 2019, at GracePointe Crossing The Gables.
Shirley was born July 2, 1937, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Albert and Viola (Kakela) Lund. Most of her life she made her home and raised her family in Minneapolis. She worked in management in food service. After retirement Shirley moved to Cambridge to be closer to family. She enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, playing Scrabble, word finds and going to the casino. At age 55 Shirley got her driver’s license, and she enjoyed the freedom that came with driving.
Shirley is survived by four sons: Steve Mulligan, James (Bo) Mulligan, Michael (Robyn) Mulligan and Scott Mulligan; two brothers, Jerry (Jan) Lund and Denny Lund; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Viola Batdorf (Archie); father Albert Lund; and brother Gordy Lund.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Strike Life Tributes in Cambridge. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will follow the service. Memorials can be made to donor’s choice. Online condolences can be made at StrikeLifeTributes.com.
