Thank you to the individuals, organizations and businesses in our community who have supported the Isanti County Food Pantry over the past year. Food and monetary donations help make it possible for our food pantry to meet emergency needs of those experiencing financial difficulty. Clients served include families, individuals, senior citizens, veterans, the homeless or anyone living in Isanti County who are challenged by unemployment, illness, disability or financial crisis.

We especially would like to thank the First Baptist Church who generously provides space for our food pantry. Every Tuesday afternoon from 3:30-4:30 they also provide an area in which clients can come to the food pantry and receive a bag of grocers and a food voucher to purchase groceries at either Cub Foods or Aldi in Cambridge.

We also wish to thank Cub Foods in Cambridge for their weekly donation of bread and bakery goods. They have been a loyal supporter of our food pantry for many years.

Area food drives help fill the shelves of our food pantry. We wish to thank the Isanti Boy Scouts, the Cambridge and Isanti Middle School students and staff, the post office and MinnCo Credit Union for conducting community-wide food drives this past year.

We appreciate when special events such as the annual hayride at the Bloomgren Farm remember our food pantry by donating canned goods.

Many area churches also collect food donations and provide cash donations as well. Cash donations allow us to purchase items not donated or to fill gaps when food donations are low.

Arrow Tank and Engineering in Cambridge has been a long-standing and generous contributor to our food pantry. The Shalom Thrift Shop has also provided regular financial support as well.

Churches such as Cambridge Lutheran Church, First Baptist Church of Cambridge, Calvary Lutheran and Long Lake Lutheran Church have also provided funds.

There are many individuals in our community who remember us with periodic checks. Regular contributions also come from employees who designate the Isanti County Food Pantry as recipients of donations through their workplace.

The Isanti County Food Pantry, which was formed over 30 years ago, is an independent, local food resource for our community. It is operated totally by volunteers. A very heartfelt thanks to all individuals and organizations who support this important cause of feeding those in need in our community.

With gratitude,

The Isanti County Food Pantry Volunteers

Char Graham, Secretary
