The Bombers lost a close one to North Branch on Tuesday, Jan. 16, by a score of 60-57. Braham did have some balanced scoring in the game, with Hunter Giffrow scoring 14 points, Levi Wylie picking up 13 points and Taite Shores adding 12 points.
Braham did bounce back two days later with a convincing win against Isle, 89-58. Wylie was tops for the team, scoring 19 points, but Giffrow and Ryan Roslin weren’t far behind, each scoring 17 points.
The Bomber girls picked up a pair of wins last week, but also had one loss in a busy week.
In the annual girls’ version of the “Battle of the Bombers,” it was Braham coming out on top 49-42. Three days later, Braham topped Isle 68-51. To round out the week, Braham lost to Aitkin 54-44.
In the loss to the Gobblers, Emily Lindquist put in almost half of Braham’s points, scoring 21.
Rush City/Braham took sixth out of eight teams at the North Branch Invite on Friday, Jan. 19. The Mielke brothers were the only two wrestlers to pick up top finishes in the tournament, with Dalton taking first at 170 pounds and Daniel taking second at 152 pounds.
