Braham coach hits 100 career wins

Braham football coach Shawn Kuhnke reached a milestone 100 career wins with the Homecoming victory on Oct. 11.


In week seven of the 2019 Minnesota high school football season, three Minnesota high school head coaches achieved their 100th career coaching win:  Shawn Kuhnke of Braham, Jon Hanks of Benilde-St. Margaret’s, and Scott Tschimperle of Glencoe-Silver Lake. 

Kuhnke won his 100th career game on Friday, Oct. 11, with a 45-8 win over Hinckley-Finlayson in a Northeast-Silver Sub-District game played in Braham. With the week-seven win, his career record is now 100-44 in 14 seasons as a head coach, all at Braham High School.

Shawn has led the Braham Bombers to six State Football Tournament appearances (Class 1A in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017) and two State Semi-Final appearances (Class 1A in 2014 and 2015).
