It was an enjoyable homecoming for the Bombers as the squad picked up their third straight lopsided victory in defeating Hinckley-Finlayson 45-8.
The Bombers jumped all over H-F, scoring all 45 of their points in the first three quarters before H-F thwarted the shutout attempt with a late-game touchdown in the fourth quarter. Three of Braham’s touchdowns came on the ground, with another two coming via passes as Braham outgained the visitors 313-112.
Individually, Luke Bendickson had two of the rushing touchdowns, with Carson Shockman picking up the other on the ground. Reed Riesing caught both of Hayden Lee’s touchdown passes.
Braham’s final regular-season game was at East Central on Wednesday, Oct. 16. The Bombers will likely get either the #1 or #2 seed for the Section 7A tournament, which will start on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
In their only match of the week, Braham saw their late-season swoon continue as they fell to Pine City 3-1. Braham had one last chance to pick up a win before sections start when they face Ogilvie on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Section 5A action for the Bombers will begin on Thursday, Oct. 24.
