Coming off her best-ever third place finish at the recent U.S. gymnastics championships, Isanti’s Grace McCallum has been selected to compete during the World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany, Oct. 4-14.

McCallum had to go through a rigorous tryout process in order to be selected to the Worlds team. Besides looking at the results from the U.S. Championships, the selection committee took into account a gymnasts’ performance during several other national and international competitions, plus a semi-private selection camp competition before making their final selections.

This will be McCallum’s second time competing at Worlds after first being selected for the 2018 team, where she competed on the vault and floor for the gold medal-winning Americans.

It has not been determined who will compete on which events at this year’s Worlds, where the U.S. is again heavy favorites to take home the gold.

The World Championships will be broadcast on the Olympic Channel, as well as NBCSN, along with being streamed live online at NBCsports.com.
