Dr. Sam Villella was elected Vice President of the Minnesota Optometric Association (MOA) at its Annual Meeting in St. Paul recently.  In 2014 he served as Treasurer of the association. Dr. Villella practices at Allina Health Cambridge Medical Center.

As a strong advocate for vision and eye care, he has been a member of the MOA Membership Committee as well as board liaison to the Legislative Committee. He also participated in the organization’s Strategic Planning Committees in 2012 and 2014. He is also active in his community and is on the Blaine Natural Resources and Conservation Board.

Dr. Villella has practiced at Allina Medical Clinic Eye Center for 11 years.

He received his B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Minnesota before pursuing his Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

A native of Columbia Heights, Dr. Villella lives in Blaine with his wife Megan and two children.
