Minnesota State University, Mankato, presented 2,371 degrees during spring/summer commencement exercises at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, in Taylor Center on the Minnesota State Mankato campus. Local graduates include: Rishawn Radziwill of Chisago City with a bachelor of science in accounting; Michelle Spilde of Harris with a bachelor of science in corrections; Matthew Jacobson of Isanti with a bachelor of science in recreation, parks and leisure services; Andrew Macho of North Branch with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering. 

Emily Ann Baker has been awarded a $500 four-year Fraternal College Scholarship in a national competition with other students who are members of Modern Woodmen of America, a fraternal benefit society offering financial services.

Baker, the daughter of Tim and Kelly Baker, Isanti, plans to use the scholarship to attend the college of Saint Benedict, St. Joseph, Minn.

Baker is one of 36 regional scholarship winners chosen this year. Selection is based on students’ personal and academic achievement.

University of Jamestown announces spring 2015 dean’s list, including local students: Sydney Johnson of Cambridge and Matthew Peterson of North Branch.

Matthew Peterson of North Branch was among 200 students recognized at University of Jamestown’s 109th Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 9, at the Jamestown Civic Center.
