The Cambridge water tower located next to the dog park and community garden was tipped over early Tuesday morning, Sept. 21 as part of demolition of the old structure. This tower was unneeded once the new, larger capacity tower was completed earlier this year on the west end of town near the Armed Forces Reserve Center. The company that performed the tipping over then cut the tower up and hauled the pieces away to be sold as scrap metal. To see a video of the tower being tipped over, go to “Cambridge City Hall, Minnesota” on Facebook.
